What is the service?

Tweet to Image is a free browser utility that renders text and settings you supply into a PNG image. It is provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability, and it may change or be discontinued at any time.
What may you not use it for?
Impersonation, misinformation, harassment, anything unlawful, and passing a generated image off as an authentic screenshot.
The images this tool produces look like posts on a social network. That makes them useful for mock-ups, archives, commentary and design work — and it makes them easy to misuse. You agree not to use this tool to:
- impersonate any real person, organisation or account, or attribute words to someone who did not say them;
- create or spread misinformation, fabricated news, hoaxes, or content designed to deceive;
- harass, defame, threaten or abuse anyone;
- produce content that is unlawful where you are, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- present a generated image as an authentic screenshot in any context where that would mislead.
What is the provenance marking?
A note in each exported file’s metadata identifying it as a synthetic image. You agree not to strip it.
Every PNG exported by this tool carries a note in its file metadata identifying it as a synthetic image. The note is invisible and does not change how the image looks. You agree not to strip or alter this marking in order to pass an image off as genuine. The tool provides no feature for removing it.
Who owns what you make?
You do. We claim no rights in your content — and because nothing reaches us, we cannot review or remove it either.
You are responsible for what you put into the tool and for what you do with the images that come out. Because nothing you enter reaches us, we cannot review, moderate or remove it. You keep whatever rights you have in your own content; we claim none.
What about X’s trademarks?
They belong to their owners and are referenced descriptively. This site is not affiliated with X Corp.

Any resemblance the output has to their interface exists so the tool can do its job, and does not imply any association or approval.
